The Salesians currently have one community of priests and brothers in Samoa. This community, which is based at Alafua, is responsible for:
- Don Bosco Technical Centre – Alafua
- St Michael’s Parish – Leauva’a
- St John Bosco Parish - Sinamoga
The Salesians presence in Samoa commenced in 1979 with the arrival of Fr Elio Proietto. He commenced working in a parish before being appointed Director of Moamoa Theological College. While the Salesians no longer have responsibility for this enterprise, their work has grown and expanded to include a Technical Centre and two parishes. There are plans for a new work to commence in 2008.
